By eavesdropping on and extracting real-time environmental input, the installation traces the complete, automated pipeline of commercial surveillance: from passive data harvesting to algorithmic inference and on-the-fly targeted advertisement generation.

System Architecture & Interaction Flow

1. Ambient Capture & Signal Ingestion (Arduino & TouchDesigner): Microphones and physical sensors routed through Arduino and TouchDesigner monitor the physical space, triggering continuous data ingestion as visitors talk and interact nearby.
2. Semantic Extraction & Commercial Profiling (ChatGPT API):
   • Live audio transcriptions or input signals are parsed in real time to isolate consumer intents, keywords, and latent commercial desires.
   • Inferred user metadata is extracted into advertising persona parameters (demographics, purchasing propensity, behavioral vulnerabilities).
3. Automated Ad Synthesis (ComfyUI & Diffusion Models):
   • Extracted commercial intent tokens are injected directly into a structured ComfyUI pipeline.
   • The system autonomously generates photorealistic product designs, promotional collateral, and tailored marketing copies in seconds.
4. Spatial Feedback & Exposure (TouchDesigner Canvas): The generated targeted ads and the raw data traces that spawned them are projected back into the gallery space, confronting participants with the direct consequence of their ephemeral conversations.
