Kuaishou recruitment business payment function

In Short

I worked as a UX designer for Kuaishou for two years, with one year focused on the recruitment feature in the Live Streaming department. My role involves collaborating with various team roles to clarify requirements, deliver user-centered experiences, and create clear prototypes.

The project aims to standardize company-influencer collaboration through a payment feature, helping companies recruit talent, increasing influencers' income, and aiding job seekers in finding jobs.

Overview

Problems

China's blue-collar job market is vast, with companies urgently needing to recruit large numbers of workers. However, blue-collar job seekers have limited access to information channels, making it difficult for them to find jobs outside of their personal networks. Kuaishou offers live-streaming recruitment sessions to help companies showcase their work environment and benefits. However, due to a lack of experience in live streaming, companies often fail to meet their recruitment needs. Some companies have started to hire professional influencers to conduct recruitment on their behalf, paying a commission fee. While this approach is effective, it raises concerns about transaction security.

Therefore, recruiters and influencers need Kuaishou as a third-party platform to help meet their needs and ensure secure transactions.

  1. Job seekers often lack the skills to efficiently search for and filter information online, and learning new job search software presents a high barrier for them.
Problem1
  1. Companies using their own accounts for recruitment often have few initial followers and limited traffic. Their staff may also lack the experience to promote jobs effectively through live streams.
Problem2
  1. The lack of a third-party regulator in collaborations between companies and influencers leads to unsecured transactions and increases the risk of contract breaches, poor service, and disputes.

Solutions

We have taken this opportunity to create the Kuaishou Recruitment Platform Payment Feature: a platform that helps recruiters and influencers establish transaction rules and conduct secure transactions. This feature aims to help companies enhance their exposure and achieve recruitment goals, expand income channels for influencers, and make it easier for job seekers to find employment.

  1. E-Commerce Framing for Hiring: Translates live-stream hiring into an e-commerce model—treating job openings as SKU items and resume submissions as paid orders with transparent, per-lead pricing.
Solution1
  1. Escrow-Secured Creator Collaboration Implements an upfront wallet escrow system that locks recruiting budgets upon publishing, eliminating default risks and securing creator payouts.
Solution2
  1. Real-Time Hiring Management Console Provides an operations dashboard for tracking candidate inflows in real time and managing listings dynamically (pausing hiring, adjusting criteria, or scaling quotas).

Impact

Native payments turned Kuaishou Recruitment into a closed-loop business tool, driving end-to-end adoption across the platform:

  1. Trust: Escrow protection eliminated fraud and payment defaults.
  2. Retention: Frictionless fulfillment boosted stickiness and dual-sided conversion.
  3. Monetization: Unlocked revenue via paid postings and influencer commission take-rates.
  4. Efficiency: Unified listings, creator matchmaking, and settlements into a single workflow.
